     Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. was born on 20 September 1803.¹ He was the son of Daniel Salt and Grace Smithies.² He married Caroline Whitlam, daughter of George Whitlam, on 21 August 1830.¹ He died on 29 December 1876 at age 73.²
     He lived at Crow Nest, Yorkshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Bradford between 1848 and 1850.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Salt, of Saltaire, co. York [U.K.] on 30 October 1869.¹ He was a pioneer of model towns for working people.¹

     George Whitlam lived at Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.¹

     Caroline Whitlam was the daughter of George Whitlam.² She married Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt., son of Daniel Salt and Grace Smithies, on 21 August 1830.¹ She died on 20 April 1893.¹
     From 21 August 1830, her married name became Salt.

     Sir William Henry Salt, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 December 1831.¹ He is the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.² He married Emma Dove Octaviana Harris, daughter of John Dove Harris and Emma Shirley, on 7 December 1854.¹ He died on 7 July 1892 at age 60.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Salt, of Saltaire, co. York [U.K., 1869] on 29 December 1876.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1879.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire.¹

     George Salt was born on 22 April 1833.¹ He was the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.² He married Jennie Louisa Fresco in 1875.¹ He died on 8 May 1913 at age 80.¹

     Jennie Louisa Fresco married George Salt, son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam, in 1875.¹ She died in August 1923.¹
     She lived at Florence, Italy.¹ From 1875, her married name became Salt.

     Edward Salt was born on 3 April 1837.¹ He was the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.² He married, firstly, Mary Jane Susan Elgood, daughter of Samuel Elgood, on 10 July 1861.¹ He married, secondly, Sarah Amelia Rouse, daughter of William Rouse, on 1 November 1871.¹ He died on 24 October 1903 at age 66, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.¹ He lived at Bathampton House, Bth, Somerset, England.¹

     Samuel Elgood lived at Leicester, Leicestershire, England.¹

     Mary Jane Susan Elgood was the daughter of Samuel Elgood.² She married Edward Salt, son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam, on 10 July 1861.¹ She died on 9 October 1870, without issue.¹
     From 10 July 1861, her married name became Salt.

     Herbert Salt was born on 17 April 1840 at Saltaire, Yorkshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Sir Titus Salt, 1st Bt. and Caroline Whitlam.³ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Farrell, daughter of John Douglas Farrell, in 1889 at London, England.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Ann Farrell in 1899.¹ He died on 21 July 1912 at age 72.¹
