     Gordon Locksley Salt was born on 17 December 1866.¹ He was the son of Titus Salt and Catherine Crossley.² He married Florence Mary Scarlett, daughter of Reverend James Williams Scarlett and Barbara Isabella Lawson, on 29 April 1903.¹ He died on 12 April 1938 at age 71.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹

     Reverend James Williams Scarlett was born on 6 October 1841 at Brighton, Sussex, England.^2,3 He was the son of James William Scarlett and Anne Rhodes Williams Brown.^2,3 He married Barbara Isabella Lawson, daughter of Reverend John Lawson, on 8 October 1873.³
