Henry Jermyn, 1st Earl of Saint Albans was born in 1605.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Jermyn and Catherine Killigrew.1 He died in 1683, unmarried.1
He was created 1st Baron Jermyn, of St. Edmundsbury, co. Suffolk [England] on 8 September 1643, with special remainder to his brother, Thomas Jermyn.1 He was created 1st Earl of Saint Albans [England] on 27 April 1660.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)1 He held the office of Lord Chamberlain of the Household.1 On his death, his earldom became extinct.1
