     From 23 September 1939, her married name became Litchfield-Speer.1 From 23 December 1949, her married name became Litchfield.1 She lived at Snowfield, Bearsted, Kent, England.1

     He was given the name of John Shirley Sandys Litchfield-Speer at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 On 29 December 1949 his name was legally changed to John Shirley Sandys Litchfield by deed poll.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) in 1959.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
