     Archibald Spens, 22nd of that Ilk and 19th of Lathallan was born on 17 August 1809.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Archibald Spens, 21st of that Ilk and 18th of Lathallan and Charlotte Philip.2 He married Henrietta Ouchterlony Valiant, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Thomas Valiant, on 18 November 1829.2 He died on 24 November 1869 at age 60.2
     He lived at Lathallan Park, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.3 He was in the Honourable East India Company Service, Bombay Establishment.2
