     From 18 April 1876, her married name became Spens.

     Archibald Hope Spens was born on 27 January 1877.¹ He was the son of Reginald Hope Spens and Mary Elizabeth Anderson.² He married Hilda Constance Hooper, daughter of William E. L. Hooper, on 26 July 1905.¹ He died in 1943.¹

     William E. L. Hooper lived at Streatham Park, London, England.¹

     Hilda Constance Hooper was the daughter of William E. L. Hooper.² She married Archibald Hope Spens, son of Reginald Hope Spens and Mary Elizabeth Anderson, on 26 July 1905.¹ She died on 11 January 1952.¹
     From 26 July 1905, her married name became Spens.

     Colin Hope Spens was born on 22 May 1906.¹ He was the son of Archibald Hope Spens and Hilda Constance Hooper.² He married Thyrza Josephine Simond, daughter of Septimus Duncan Simond, on 29 March 1941.¹ He died in March 2003 at age 96 at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.³
     He was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.¹ He graduated from City and Guilds Engineering College, London, England^G, in 1928 with a ACGI.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.) in 1932.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1941, with Royal Signals.¹ He was PA to Director of Works, Ministry of Works between 1941 and 1944.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institution of Civil Engineers (F.I.C.E.)¹ He was Chief Engineer, Ministry of Housing and Local Government between 1960 and 1967.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1962.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Institution of Water and Environmental Management (F.I.W.E.M.)¹ He was senior consultant with Rofe, Kennard and Lapworth between 1967 and 1976.¹ He lived in 2003 at 20 Saffrons Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Septimus Duncan Simond lived at Holmestrand, East Molesey, Surrey, England.¹

     Thyrza Josephine Simond was the daughter of Septimus Duncan Simond.² She married Colin Hope Spens, son of Archibald Hope Spens and Hilda Constance Hooper, on 29 March 1941.¹ She died on 25 April 2000.¹
     From 29 March 1941, her married name became Spens.
