     Hercules Rowley was the son of Sir John Rowley and Mary Langford.² He married Frances Upton, daughter of Arthur Upton and Dorothy Beresford, on 3 January 1705.¹ He died on 19 September 1742.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Londonderry.¹

     Frances Upton was born on 8 November 1674.² She was the daughter of Arthur Upton and Dorothy Beresford.^3,2 She married Hercules Rowley, son of Sir John Rowley and Mary Langford, on 3 January 1705.¹
     From 3 January 1705, her married name became Rowley.

     Vere Isham was born in 1655.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Justinian Isham, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Vere Leigh.¹ She died in 1674.¹

     Clotworthy Upton was born on 6 January 1665.² He was the son of Arthur Upton and Dorothy Beresford.² He married, thirdly, Jane Ormsby, daughter of John Ormsby.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Boyle, daughter of Roger Boyle, 2nd Earl of Orrery and Lady Mary Sackville.³ He married, secondly, Margaret Stewart, daughter of William Stewart.³ He died on 6 June 1725 at age 60.²
     In 1690 he raised a party of men and joined the standard of William III at the Siege of Limerick, where he was taken prisoner although nearly all of his men were cut to pieces.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Antrim.² He lived at Castle Upton, Templepatrick, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹
