Sir Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany, 4th Bt.1 
He was given the name of Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick at birth.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddingtonshire between 1795 and 1800.1 On 12 February 1796 his name was legally changed to Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple.1 In February 1800 his name was legally changed to Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dalrymple, of North Berwick, co. Haddington [N.S., 1698] on 13 February 1800.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire between 1803 and 1807.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire between 1811 and 1818.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington Burghs between 1820 and 1826.1
