     He followed his brother Richard to Maryland.¹

     Susannah Snow is the daughter of Abel Snow.² She married Dr. Thomas Gerard, son of Sir Thomas Gerard, 2nd Bt. and Frances Molyneux.¹
     Her married name became Gerard.

     Sir Cuthbert Clifton lived at Westby, England^G.¹ He lived at Lytham, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Clifton is the daughter of Sir Cuthbert Clifton.² She married Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Gerard, 2nd Bt. and Frances Molyneux.¹
     Her married name became Gerard.

     Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton.² He married, secondly, Mary Mostyn, daughter of John Mostyn and Anne Fox.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Preston, daughter of Sir John Preston, 1st Bt., in 1662.¹ He died circa April 1702.¹ He was buried on 16 April 1702.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa April 1681.¹

     Frances Gerard was the daughter of Sir William Gerard, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Clifton.² She married Francis Howard, son of Sir Francis Howard and Mary Widdrington.¹ She died in 1679.²
     Her married name became Howard.
