     Samuel James Waring, 1st and last Baron Waring was born on 19 April 1860.1 He was the son of Samuel James Waring and Sarah Ann Wells.1 He married Eleanor Caroline Bamford, daughter of Charles Bamford, on 15 October 1890.1 He died on 9 January 1940 at age 79.1
     He was founder of Waring & Sons in 1893.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1907.1 He organised factories for production of aeroplanes, engines and general war equipment.1 He was created 1st Baronet Waring [U.K.] on 31 May 1919.1 He was created 1st Baron Waring, of Foots Cray Place, Foots Cray, co. Kent [U.K.] on 18 July 1922.1
