     Admiral of the Fleet Sir Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdee, 1st Bt. was born on 9 June 1859 at Charlton, Kent, England.³ He was the son of Frederick Rannie Sturdee and Anna Hodson.¹ He married Marion Adela Andrews, daughter of William John Andrews, on 23 September 1882.^3,4 He died on 7 May 1925 at age 65 at Wargrave House, Camberley, Surrey, England.³
     Admiral of the Fleet Sir Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdee, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Doveton.⁵ He was commissioned in 1871, in the service of the Royal Navy.⁴ He fought in the Egyptian War in 1882.⁴ He gained the rank of Captain in 1899.⁴ He was commander of the British Forces in Samoa in 1899.⁴ He was Assistant Director of Naval Intelligence between 1899 and 1902.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1900.⁴ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1903.⁴ He was Chief of Staff, Mediterranean Fleet between 1905 and 1907.⁴ He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM King Edward VII between 1905 and 1907.⁴ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1906.³ He was Chief of Staff, Channel Fleet in 1907.⁴ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1908.⁴ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1913.⁴ He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1913.⁴ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he commanded the force that destroyed the German Pacific Fleet off the Falklands on 8 Dec 1914.⁴ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1916.⁴ He was created 1st Baronet Sturdee, of the Falkland islands [U.K.] on 19 January 1916.⁵ He gained the rank of Admiral in 1917.⁴ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1921.³ He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in 1921.³

     Ethel May Cooper was born in 1879.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Jesse Cooper and Mary Anne Larken.¹ She married Edmond Aubrey Horsley de Vere Pery, son of Hon. Edmund Aubrey Templar Pery and Clara Julia Croker, in 1898 at New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ She died in 1902 at New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ She was buried at St. Peter’s, Campbelltown, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹
     From 1898, her married name became Pery.¹

     Samuel Jesse Cooper married Mary Anne Larken.¹

     Wilhelmina Moorehead Dawson was born on 26 October 1845.¹ She married John Robert Macoun on 27 February 1872.¹ She died on 2 January 1898 at age 52.¹
     From 27 February 1872, her married name became Macoun.¹

     Leslie Stewart Macoun was born on 31 July 1874.¹ He was the son of John Robert Macoun and Wilhelmina Moorehead Dawson.¹ He married Julia Maud Borden, daughter of Sir Frederick Borden, on 22 May 1906.¹ He died on 19 January 1942 at age 67, killed when he was torpedoed by a UBoat while on a voyage from Canada to Barbadoes.¹
     He was a clerk.¹ He emigrated to Canada^G arriving on 1890.¹

     Julia Maud Borden is the daughter of Sir Frederick Borden.¹ She married Leslie Stewart Macoun, son of John Robert Macoun and Wilhelmina Moorehead Dawson, on 22 May 1906.¹
     From 22 May 1906, her married name became Macoun.¹

     Sir Frederick Borden held the office of Minister of Defence [Canada].¹

     Lillian Katherine Hawkshaw Vincent was born in 1883.² She was the daughter of Rev. Sir William Vincent, 12th Bt. and Hester Clara Hawkshaw.³ She married Admiral Sir Henry Bertram Pelly, son of Captain Richard Wilson Pelly and Katherine Jane Fry, on 14 December 1904.¹ She died on 20 September 1966.¹
     From 14 December 1904, her married name became Pelly.²

     Clare Margaret Roope was born on 30 May 1959.¹ She is the daughter of Commander Michael Gerard Broadmead Roope and Margaret L. Robb.¹ She married Alan Simon Nicholas Smith, son of Colonel Alan Patrick Smith and Priscilla Anne Josephine Tod.¹
     Her married name became Smith.¹
