Sir John Wedderburn, 5th Bt. 2
Sir John Wedderburn of Blackness, 5th Bt. was born on 4 August 1704.3 He was the son of Sir Alexander Wedderburn of Blackness, 4th Bt. and Katharine Scott.3 He married Jean Fullarton, daughter of John Fullarton of that Ilk, on 22 October 1724.3 He died on 28 November 1746 at age 42 at Kennington Common, Surrey, England, hanged, drawn and quartered.2
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Wedderburn [G.B., 1704] on 21 September 1744.3 He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1745, where he was captured by the English.2 On 4 November 1746 he was found guilty as a traitor.2
