Sir John Hynde Cotton, 4th Bt.1 
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Germains between 1741 and 1747.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Marlborough between 1752 and 1761.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Cotton, of Landwade, co. Cambridge [E., 1641] on 4 February 1752.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 7 July 1763.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cambridgeshire between 1764 and 1780.1
