     He was admitted to Middle Temple on 27 May 1606.¹ He emigrated to Ireland^G arriving on 1610.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [Ireland] on 18 July 1628.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1640.¹

     Charity Jones is the daughter of Sir Baptist Jones.¹ She married Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt., son of Alexander Staples and Elizabeth (?), before September 1623 at Cookstown, Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.^1,2

     Sir Baptist Staples, 2nd Bt. was born before 1625 at Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. and Charity Jones.³ He died in June 1672, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 31 May 1653.¹

     Sir Alexander Staples, 3rd Bt. was born in 1625 at Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.² He was the son of Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. and Charity Jones.³ He married Elizabeth Conynham.¹ He died from 26 May 1665 to 5 March 1672/73, without male issue.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1661.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Strabane between 1661 and 1665.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] in June 1672.¹

     Elizabeth Conynham married Sir Alexander Staples, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. and Charity Jones.¹ She died between 18 March 1681 and 25 May 1681.¹
