Vice-Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley was born on 10 June 1764.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir Joshua Rowley, 1st Bt. and Sarah Burton.2 He married Arabella Martin, daughter of Captain William Martin.1 He died on 7 October 1811 at age 47.1
