     Lt.-Col. Norman Leslie Crozier Irwin is the son of Rev. Dr. T. J. Irwin.² He married Mildred Mary Hamlyn Noel, daughter of Henry Hamlyn Noel and Mary Jane Neame Oliver, on 18 September 1929.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 8th Gurkha Rifles.¹ He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.¹

     Evelyn Mary Noel was the daughter of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel.² She married Herbert Robinson Arbuthnot, son of George Arbuthnot and Marie Thomas, on 10 November 1880.¹ She died on 23 March 1945.¹
     From 10 November 1880, her married name became Arbuthnot.

     George Arbuthnot was born on 24 April 1815.² He was the son of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser.³ He married Marie Thomas, daughter of James Thomas, on 28 August 1844 at Madras, India.⁴ He died on 19 March 1895 at age 79.
     He lived at Elderslie, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Herbert Robinson Arbuthnot was born on 8 January 1851.² He was the son of George Arbuthnot and Marie Thomas.^3,2 He was baptised on 5 March 1851 at Madras, India.² He married Evelyn Mary Noel, daughter of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel, on 10 November 1880.¹ He died on 18 October 1937 at age 86.¹
     He lived at Bayswater, London, England^G.¹

     Gertrude Arabella Noel was the daughter of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel.² She married Thomas Cheney Garfit on 3 December 1891.¹ She died on 15 December 1928.¹
     From 3 December 1891, her married name became Garfit.

     Thomas Cheney Garfit married Gertrude Arabella Noel, daughter of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel, on 3 December 1891.¹
     He lived at Kenwick Hall, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Emilia Frances Noel was the daughter of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel.² She died on 19 March 1950, unmarried.¹

     Cornelius Blauvelt Demarest was born on 22 February 1844 at New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was the son of John Tallman Demarest and Elizabeth T. Eckerson.¹ He married Phoebe Catherine Cole on 6 November 1878 at Nyack, Rockland County, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Anne Adelaide Burnside was the daughter of Reverend John Burnside.¹ She married Hon. Henry Lewis Noel, son of Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough and Arabella Hamlyn-Williams, on 31 August 1892.¹ She died on 30 April 1904, without issue.¹
     From 31 August 1892, her married name became Noel.

     Alexander Noel is the son of Sir Andrew Noel and Mabel Harington.¹
     He lived at Whitwell, Rutland, England^G.¹
