     Hon. Emma Amelia Cary was born circa 1849 at Bath, Somerset, England.2 She was the daughter of Captain Hon. Byron Charles Ferdinand Plantagenet Cary and Selina Mary Fox.1 She married Thomas Benyon Ferguson, son of Thomas Ferguson and Emma Benyon, on 8 March 1869.1 She died on 2 December 1931.1
     From 8 March 1869, her married name became Ferguson.1 On 29 September 1886 she was granted the rank of a viscount’s daughter.1
