John Archdale1 
He was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1608.1 Hesettled as an ‘undertaker’ after the flight of the Earls of Tyrone and Tyrconnell.1 He lived at Abbotts Hall, Darsham, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He obtained by Letters Patent on 13 July 1612 a grant of land at Tallanagh, Lurg, County Fermanagh, IrelandG, on which the old Castle Archdale was built in 1615. He also obtained lands at Drumragh, County Tyrone, and Curranlurge, County Fermanagh.1,2 He lived at Castle Archdale, County Fermanagh, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1616.1
