     Reverend Charles James Proby was born on 23 January 1771.² He was the son of Very Rev. Baptist Proby and Mary Russell.² He married Frances Sharrer, daughter of Reverend John Sharrer, on 30 June 1814.² He died on 2 February 1859 at age 88.²

     Gertrude Mary Proby was the daughter of Reverend Charles James Proby and Frances Sharrer.² She married Edward Nathaniel Conant, son of Commander John Edward Conant and Catherine Brown, on 27 August 1844.¹ She died on 27 March 1866.²
     From 27 August 1844, her married name became Conant.²

     Edward Henry Conant was born on 20 October 1847.¹ He was the son of Edward Nathaniel Conant and Gertrude Mary Proby.² He died on 26 September 1897 at age 49, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Dragoon Guards.¹

     Ernest William Proby Conant was born on 7 March 1852.¹ He was the son of Edward Nathaniel Conant and Gertrude Mary Proby.² He married Eva Mildred Tryon, daughter of Lt.-Col. Thomas Tryon and Alice Dashwood, on 12 July 1898.¹ He died on 14 August 1920 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Rutland in 1907.¹ He lived at Lyndon Hall, Oakham, Rutland, England^G.¹

     Gertrude Catherine Conant was born on 30 September 1845.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Nathaniel Conant and Gertrude Mary Proby.² She died on 28 August 1930 at age 84, unmarried.¹

     Frances Ann Conant was born on 7 November 1846.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Nathaniel Conant and Gertrude Mary Proby.² She married Byam Martin Davies, son of General Francis John Davies and Elizabeth Martin, on 24 September 1874.¹ She died on 11 July 1910 at age 63.¹
     From 24 September 1874, her married name became Davies.
