     Sir John Charles Thorold, 11th Bt. was born on 26 June 1816.1 He was the son of Sir John Hayford Thorold, 10th Bt. and Mary Kent.1,2 He married Elizabeth Frances Thoroton-Hildyard, daughter of Colonel Thomas Blackborne Thoroton-Hildyard, on 17 March 1841.1 He died on 26 April 1866 at age 49.1
     He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 7 July 1831.1
