     Sir John Hayford Thorold, 10th Bt. was born on 30 March 1773.1 He was the son of Sir John Thorold, 9th Bt. and Jane Hayford.1,2 He married, firstly, Mary Kent, daughter of Sir Charles Kent, 1st Bt., on 1 October 1811.1 He married, secondly, Mary Anne Cary, daughter of George Cary and Frances Stonor, on 12 July 1830.1 He died on 7 July 1831 at age 58.1
     He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 25 February 1815.1 He lived at Marston, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.3
