     Fitz Ameline Maxwell Ancketill was born on 14 April 1825.¹ He was the son of William Anketell and Sarah Maxwell.¹ He married Laura Valetta Ranking, daughter of Henry Ranking and Frances Helen Heath, on 8 November 1859.¹
     He was given the name of Fitz Ameline Maxwell Anketell at birth.¹ In 1874 his name was legally changed to Fitz Ameline Maxwell Ancketill, the family reverted to the original spelling of their patronymic by Deed Poll.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1881.¹ He lived at Killyfaddy, Clogher, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹

     Laura Valetta Ranking was the daughter of Henry Ranking and Frances Helen Heath.¹ She married Fitz Ameline Maxwell Ancketill, son of William Anketell and Sarah Maxwell, on 8 November 1859.¹ She died on 20 July 1907.¹
     From 8 November 1859, her married name became Ancketill.¹

     Henry Ranking married Frances Helen Heath, daughter of Reverend W. Heath.¹
     He lived at Eaglehurst, Bathford, Somerset, England^G.¹
