     Caroline Anketell was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Matthew Anketell and Mary Norris.1 She married Lieutenant Augustus Woodville Amyatt in 1817.1 She died in 1817, (3 weeks after her marriage).1

     Major Matthew John Anketell was born on 31 October 1812.1 He was the son of William Anketell and Sarah Maxwell.1 He married Catherine Frances Anne Ker, daughter of David Ker, on 6 February 1840.1 He died on 8 May 1870 at age 57.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff in 1834.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Monaghan Militia.1 As of 23 April 1851, Major Matthew John Anketell was considered the head of the Anketell family.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Anketell Grove, County Monaghan, IrelandG.1
