     Henry William Massy was born in January 1816.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Massy and Elizabeth Evans.¹ He married Maria Cahill, daughter of Patrick Cahill, in February 1838.¹ He died on 20 November 1895 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Tipperary Artillery Militia.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tipperary.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Limerick.¹ He lived at Granstown Hall, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Rosanna, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Major Charles William Massy was the son of Reverend William Massy and Elizabeth Evans.¹ He died on 8 October 1881, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Militia.¹

     Godfrey Lennox Eyre Massy was born on 24 December 1856 at Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Major Godfrey William Hugh Massy and Louisa Emma Maunsell.¹ He married Louisa Lamb in 1882 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Connaught Rangers.¹

     Hugh Eyre Francis Massy was the son of Reverend William Massy and Elizabeth Evans.¹ He married Beatrice Louisa Barton, daughter of Thomas Johnston Barton and Frances Morris, on 3 December 1864.¹ He died in February 1900.¹
     He lived at New Court, Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 19th Regiment.¹

     Beatrice Louisa Barton was the daughter of Thomas Johnston Barton and Frances Morris.^1,2 She married Hugh Eyre Francis Massy, son of Reverend William Massy and Elizabeth Evans, on 3 December 1864.¹ She died on 23 January 1893.¹
     From 3 December 1864, her married name became Massy.¹

     Thomas Johnston Barton was born in September 1802.² He was the son of Hugh Barton and Anne Johnston.² He married Frances Morris, daughter of Edward Morris and Hon. Mary Erskine, on 25 March 1830, (says 25 March 1830 although this date must be incorrect since both the husband and the wife died in the 1860s.)² He died on 4 December 1864 at age 62.²
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He lived at Glendalough House, Annamoe, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹

     Hugh Eyre Francis Barton Massy was born on 25 June 1866.¹ He was the son of Hugh Eyre Francis Massy and Beatrice Louisa Barton.¹ He married Gladys Briscoe, daughter of Augustus Briscoe.¹ He died on 23 June 1917 at age 50.¹
     He lived at Stackallen, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹
