     Lt.-Col. Sir William Hutchison Poë, 1st Bt. was born on 20 September 1848.2 He was the son of William Thomas Poë and Mary Ellen Leslie. He married Mary Adelaide Domville, daughter of Sir William Compton Domvile, 3rd Bt. and Caroline Meade, on 21 January 1886.3 He died on 30 November 1934 at age 86 at Sussex, England.2
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)3 He was created 1st Baronet Poë [U.K.] in 1912.3
