     Mary Ambler was the daughter of Robert Ambler and Mary Thompson.^2,1 She married William Makins, son of William Makins, in 1780.¹ She died on 4 June 1837.¹
     From 1780, her married name became Makins.

     William Thompson Thompson was born on 25 March 1785.¹ He was the son of William Makins and Mary Ambler.² He died on 10 December 1860 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     He was given the name of William Thompson Makins at birth.¹ In 1806 his name was legally changed to William Thompson Thompson by Royal Licence.¹

     Charles Makins was born on 7 April 1797.¹ He was the son of William Makins and Mary Ambler.² He married Frances Kirkby, daughter of Thomas Kirkby, on 7 September 1837.¹ He died on 8 August 1878 at age 81.¹

     Thomas Kirkby was a banker at Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹

     Frances Kirkby was the daughter of Thomas Kirkby.² She married Charles Makins, son of William Makins and Mary Ambler, on 7 September 1837.¹ She died on 31 January 1876.¹
     From 7 September 1837, her married name became Makins.

     Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt. was born on 16 March 1840.¹ He was the son of Charles Makins and Frances Kirkby.² He married Elizabeth Simpson, daughter of Lightly Simpson, on 3 June 1861.¹ He died on 2 February 1906 at age 65.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for South Essex between 1874 and 1892.¹ He was governor of the Gas Light and Coke Company.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 1st Essex Artillery, East Division, Royal Artillery Voluntary Brigade.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.¹ He was awarded the Volunteer Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.¹ He was deputy chairman of GER.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Makins, of Rotherfield Court, co. Oxford [U.K.] on 9 January 1903.¹

     Robert Graham Glendinning lived at Lennoxvale, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     John Hunt was born in 1811.² He was the son of John Samuel Hunt and Elizabeth Gunning.² He married Emma Smith.² He died in 1879.²
     He lived at Holmwood, Dorking, Surrey, England^G.¹

     James Hillis married Alice Ann Mary Glendinning, daughter of Robert Graham Glendinning, before 1967.¹

     Robert Simms lived at Bangor, County Down, Ireland^G.²
