Edward Brabazon, 4th Earl of Meath1 
He gained the rank of Captain of Foot in 1661.2 He gained the rank of Captain of Horse.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Wicklow between June 1666 and August 1666.2 He held the office of Ranger of Phoenix Park in 1675.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1679.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Meath [I., 1627] circa 28 February 1684/85.2 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Brabazon, Baron of Ardee, co. Louth [I., 1616] circa 28 February 1684/85.2 In May 1689 he was attainted by King James II’s Irish Parliament.2 He fought in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, in command of a Williamite regiment.2 He fought in the Siege of Limerick in 1690.2
