     Thomas Graham, 1st Baron Lynedoch was born on 19 October 1748.2 He was the son of Thomas Graham, 6th of Balgowan and Lady Christian Hope.3 He married Mary Cathcart, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Schaw Cathcart, 9th Lord Cathcart and Jane Hamilton, on 26 December 1774.1 He died on 18 December 1843 at age 95.3
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)2 He gained the title of 1st Baron Lynedoch.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Perthshire between 1794 and 1807.2
