     Gavin Campbell, 5th Baron Stratheden of Cupar and Campbell of St. Andrews was born on 28 August 1901.^1,2 He was the son of Captain Hon. John Beresford Campbell and Hon. Alice Susan Hamilton.¹ He married Evelyn Mary Smith, daughter of Colonel Herbert Austen Smith and Harriet Emma Shewell, on 26 April 1933.² He died in 1987.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 19th (Kenyan) Battalion, King’s African Rifles.² He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.² He gained the rank of Second World War between 1939 and 1944.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Stratheden of Cupar, co. Fife [U.K., 1836] on 12 December 1981.² He succeeded as the 5th Baron Campbell of St. Andrews, co. Fife [U.K., 1841] on 12 December 1981.²

     Roderick MacLeod was the son of Roderick MacLeod.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was a physician between 1833 and 1845 at St. George’s Hospital, Hyde Park Corner, London, England^G.²

     Jean Campbell was born in 1904.¹ She is the daughter of Captain Hon. John Beresford Campbell and Hon. Alice Susan Hamilton.¹ She married Alexander George Seton, son of George Seton, on 25 April 1939.²

     John Sutherland Sinclair, 17th Earl of Caithness was born on 17 September 1857 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of James Augustus Sinclair, 16th Earl of Caithness and Janet Macleod.³ He was baptised at St. Paul’s Church, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.² He died on 30 May 1914 at age 56, unmarried.¹ He was buried at Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.^G.
     He was styled as Lord Berriedale between May 1889 and 1891.² He succeeded as the 17th Earl of Caithness [S., 1455] on 20 January 1891.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Sinclair, of Canisbay, co. Caithness [N.S., 1631] on 20 January 1891.³
