     Her married name became Bowyer.¹ Her last will was dated 26 July 1687.

     Roger de Clifford, 5th Lord Clifford was born on 10 July 1333.¹ He was the son of Robert de Clifford, 3rd Lord Clifford and Isabel de Berkeley.² He was baptised on 20 July 1333 at Brougham, Westmorland, England^G.³ He married Maud de Beauchamp, daughter of Thomas de Beauchamp, 11th Earl of Warwick and Katherine Mortimer, before 1363.^2,4 He died on 13 July 1389 at age 56.²
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Clifford [E., 1299] in 1345.² He held the office of Sheriff of Westmorland in 1360.² He fought in the Wars in France.² He fought in the Scottish Wars.² He was appointed Knight Banneret.² He held the office of Governor of Carlisle Castle in 1377.² He held the office of Sheriff of Cumberland in 1377.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁵
     

     Maud de Beauchamp was the daughter of Thomas de Beauchamp, 11th Earl of Warwick and Katherine Mortimer.¹ She married Roger de Clifford, 5th Lord Clifford, son of Robert de Clifford, 3rd Lord Clifford and Isabel de Berkeley, before 1363.^2,3 She died from January 1402/3 to February 1402/3.²

     Sir James Bowyer, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1645.² He was baptised at North Mundham, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Bowyer, 1st Bt. and Anne Ryder.¹ He died circa February 1679/80 at London, England^G, without issue.³ He was buried on 28 February 1679/80.³ He died intestate and his estate was administered to Henry Bellingham, cousin and next of kin on 27 April 1682.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.⁴ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bowyer, of Leythorne, co. Sussex [E., 1627] in 1659.¹ He matriculated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 14 February 1661/62.¹ He was a Fellow between 1663 and 1665 at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1665.³ He was created 1st Baronet Bowyer, of Highden, co. Sussex [England] on 18 May 1678, with a special remainder to Henry Goring, and with the precedence of the old baronetcy in 1627.³
     On his death, his first baronetcy became extinct.³

     Alice Stafford was born in 1391 at Dorset, England.² She was the daughter of Sir Humphrey Stafford and Elizabeth Mautravers.^1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Edmund Cheyney.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Walter Tailboys, son of Sir Walter Tailboys, before 1432. She died before 24 April 1448.¹
     Her married name became Cheyney.¹ From before 1432, her married name became Tailboys.¹

     Sir Humphrey Stafford was born in 1379.² He was the son of Sir Humphrey Stafford and Alice Grenville.² He married Elizabeth Mautravers, daughter of Sir John Mautravers and Elizabeth d‘Aumale, before October 1397.² He died on 27 May 1442 at Dorset, England.²
     He was appointed Knight in 1397.²
