     He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Norfolk Island in 1871.¹

     Thomas Austin Buffett was born on 5 September 1851 at Pitcairn Island^G.¹ He was the son of David Buffett and Martha Young.¹ He died on 10 February 1874 at age 22 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Henry Charles Davis Buffett was born on 12 February 1857 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of David Buffett and Martha Young.¹ He died on 4 August 1941 at age 84.² He was buried at Norfolk Island Cemetery, Kingston, Norfolk Island.²
     Henry Charles Davis Buffett also went by the nick-name of Davey.²

     Joyce Shirley was the daughter of Thomas Shirley.¹ She married Sir Thomas Blount, son of Peter Blount and Anne Cornwall.¹

     Robert Edward Buffett was born on 3 January 1863 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of David Buffett and Martha Young.¹ He married Emily Gladys Nobbs, daughter of James Wingate Johnstone Nobbs and Isabella Emily Christian, on 7 January 1896 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He died on 23 April 1953 at age 90.² He was buried at Norfolk Island Cemetery, Kingston, Norfolk Island.²
     Robert Edward Buffett also went by the nick-name of ‘Pa Dickie’.

     Peter Blount was the son of Sir Thomas Blount and Joyce Shirley.¹ He died, without issue.¹

     Emily Martha Buffett was born on 24 February 1897 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Edward Buffett and Emily Gladys Nobbs.¹ She died on 1 May 1897 at Norfolk Island^G.¹

     Teresa Edith Buffett was born on 30 March 1898 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Edward Buffett and Emily Gladys Nobbs.¹ She married Frederick Edmund Gabbutt in 1924.¹ She died between 1979 and 1980 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     Frederick Edmund Gabbutt was born circa 1884 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He married Teresa Edith Buffett, daughter of Robert Edward Buffett and Emily Gladys Nobbs, in 1924.¹
