He matriculated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 14 May 1705.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, co. Northumberland [E., 1685] in December 1705.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newcastle-upon-Tyne between 1710 and 1728.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
