Sir Edward Bishopp, 2nd Bt.1 
He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 22 October 1619.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1620.1 He was appointed Knight on 18 December 1625 at Hampton Court Palace, Kingston-upon-Thames, London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Steyning in 1626.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bishopp, of Parham, co. Sussex [E., 1620] in 1626.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sussex from 1636 to 1637.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bramber between 1640 and 16 December 1640.1 He held the office of Governor of Arundel Castle in 1643.1 In October 1644 he was a compounder, on the side of the King, and his estates were sequestrated.1 In October 1645 he was fined £7,500, but was subsequently reduced to £4,790.1
