     Emma Isabella Wilson Souter was the daughter of Captain Thomas Alexander Souter.¹ She married Colonel Edward Penfold Arthur, son of Lt.-Gen. Rt. Hon. Sir George Arthur, 1st Bt. and Eliza Ord Ussher Smith, in 1847.¹ She died on 13 February 1912.¹
     From 1847, her married name became Arthur.¹

     Captain Thomas Alexander Souter gained the rank of Captain in the 44th Regiment.¹

     Helen Thomson was the daughter of Neale Thomson.¹ She married George Arthur Arthur, son of Colonel Edward Penfold Arthur and Emma Isabella Wilson Souter, on 19 August 1873.¹ She died on 16 April 1878.¹
     From 19 August 1873, her married name became Arthur.¹
