     William Armytage was born before 1568. He married, secondly, Margery Beaumont, daughter of Richard Beaumont, in 1583.² He died between 16 June 1606 and 30 October 1606.^1,2

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Armytage, of Kirklees [in Hartshead], co. York [G.B., 1738] on 19 August 1747.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York between 1754 and 1758.¹

     Sir George Armytage, 3rd Bt. was born on 25 December 1734.¹ He was the son of Sir Samuel Armytage, 1st Bt. and Anne Griffith.¹ He married Anna Maria Wentworth, daughter of Godfrey Wentworth and Dorothy Pilkington, on 10 April 1760 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England^G.¹ He died on 21 January 1783 at age 48.¹ He was buried on 29 January 1783 at Hartshead, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Armytage, of Kirklees [in Hartshead], co. York [G.B., 1738] on 10 September 1758.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for York between 1761 and 1768.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire from 1775 to 1776.¹

     Anna Maria Wentworth was born on 9 June 1736.¹ She was the daughter of Godfrey Wentworth and Dorothy Pilkington.¹ She was baptised on 7 July 1736 at Woolley, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ She married Sir George Armytage, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Samuel Armytage, 1st Bt. and Anne Griffith, on 10 April 1760 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England^G.¹ She died on 21 March 1788 at age 51.¹ She was buried at Hickleton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     From 10 April 1760, her married name became Armytage.¹

     Godfrey Wentworth is the son of Godfrey Wentworth.

Mary Harbord, daughter of Harbord Harbord, 1st Baron Suffield and Mary Assheton, on 12 August 1783 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Bowles, daughter of Oldfield Bowles and Mary Elton, on 6 December 1791 at North Oston, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He died on 14 July 1836 at age 75 at Kirkllees Hall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was buried at Hartshead, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Armytage, of Kirklees [in Hartshead], co. York [G.B., 1738] on 21 January 1783.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire from 1791 to 1792.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 5 July 1793 with a honorary Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)¹
