He was the son of Philip de Bourgogne, Comte de Nevers and Bona dArtois.1 He married, firstly, Jacqueline dAilly, daughter of Raoul dAilly, on 24 November 1435.1 He married, secondly, Pauline de Brosse, daughter of Jean II de Brosse, Comte de Penthièvre and Nicole de Châtillon, Vicomtesse de Limoges et Comtesse de Penthièvre, in 1471.1 He married, thirdly, Françoise dAlbret, daughter of Arnold of Orval dAlbret, in 1480.1 He died on 25 September 1491 at age 75.
