Sophie Karoline Marie Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 7 October 1737 at Wolfenbüttel, Niedersachsen, Germany. She was the daughter of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen.1 She married Friedrich Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth, son of Georg Friedrich Karl Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth, on 18 September 1759.3 She was also reported to have been married on 20 September 1759. She died on 22 December 1817 at age 80.3
She gained the title of Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.3

Friedrich August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 29 October 1740.3 He was the son of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen.1 He married Friederike Sophie Charlotte Auguste Prinzessin von Württemberg-Oels, daughter of Karl Christian Erdmann Herzog von Württemberg-Oels and Marie Sophie Wilhelmine Gräfin zu Solms-Laubach, on 6 September 1768.3 He died on 8 October 1805 at age 64 at Eisenach, GermanyG.3
He gained the title of Prinz von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.1 He held the office of Governor of Hanover.
