Sir Owen Watkin Williams-Wynn, 10th Bt. was born on 30 November 1904.2 He was the son of Sir Robert William Herbert Williams-Wynn, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Ida Lowther.3 He married, firstly, Margaret Jean Macbean, daughter of Colonel William Alleyne Macbean, on 21 February 1939.2 He married, secondly, Gabrielle Haden Caffin, daughter of Herbert Alexander Caffin, on 18 March 1968.2 He died in 1988.2
Sir Owen Watkin Williams-Wynn, 10th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Watkin.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Denbighshire in 1937.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Horse Artillery (Reserves.)2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches twice and became a POW.2 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 361 Med Regiment Royal Artillery (Territorial Army) in 1947.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Denbighshire between 1947 and 1957.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Williams, of Wynnstay, co. Denbigh [E., 1688] on 23 November 1951.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1954.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Denbighshire between 1957 and 1966.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Denbighshire between 1966 and 1974.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1969.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd between 1974 and 1988.2 He was appointed FRAGS.2
