Lt.-Col. Ian Dudley De’Ath1 

Lt.-Col. Ian Dudley De’Ath was born on 7 October 1918 at Farnborough, Hampshire, England.2 He was the son of Colonel George Dudley De’Ath and Eileen Mabel Clarke-Morris.2 He married Patric King-Smith on 26 June 1947 at St. Mary Abbot’s Church, Kensington, London, England.2 He died on 1 February 1960 at age 41 at Royal Naval Hospital, Plymouth, Devon, England.2
He was educated at St. Michaels School, Uckfield, Sussex, England.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1937 in the Royal Marines.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1939.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1946.2
