     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Susan Theodosia Moore was born on 27 June 1952.¹ She is the daughter of Commander Oliver Russell Moore and Blanche Theodosia Acheson.¹ She married Christopher Michael Aston Maltin in 1990.²

     Patricia Alexandra Moore was born on 19 July 1956. She is the daughter of Commander Oliver Russell Moore and Blanche Theodosia Acheson.¹ She married David Phillip Dowling Styles in 1985.¹
     From 1985, her married name became Styles.¹

     Caroline Mildred Carter was born on 2 March 1888.¹ She was the daughter of John Ridgely Carter.² She married Archibald Charles Montagu Brabazon Acheson, 5th Earl of Gosford, son of Archibald Brabazon Sparrow Acheson, 4th Earl of Gosford and Lady Louisa Augusta Beatrice Montagu, on 21 June 1910.² She and Archibald Charles Montagu Brabazon Acheson, 5th Earl of Gosford were divorced in 1928.¹ She died on 7 September 1965 at age 77.²
     Caroline Mildred Carter usually went by her middle name of Mildred.² Her married name became Acheson. After her marriage, Caroline Mildred Carter was styled as Countess of Gosford on 11 April 1922.

     John Ridgely Carter held the office of U.S. Minister at Bucharest.¹

     Archibald Alexander John Stanley Acheson, 6th Earl of Gosford was born on 14 January 1911 at London, England^G.³ He was the son of Archibald Charles Montagu Brabazon Acheson, 5th Earl of Gosford and Caroline Mildred Carter.¹ He married, firstly, Francesca Augusta Maria Cagiati, daughter of Francesco Cagiati, on 14 December 1935.¹ He and Francesca Augusta Maria Cagiati were divorced in 1960.¹ He married, secondly, Cynthia Margaret West, daughter of Captain Henry Cave West, on 21 September 1960.¹ He died on 17 February 1966 at age 55.¹

     From before 1928, her married name became Breese.¹ From 1 October 1928, her married name became Acheson. After her marriage, Beatrice Clafin was styled as Countess of Gosford on 1 October 1928.

     Edward Paul Walkinson was born on 13 April 1955.¹ He is the son of Gerald Frodsham Walkinson and Mary Clifford Hickson.¹
