     Hon. Leopold William Henry Fox-Powys was born on 17 September 1837.2 He was the son of Thomas Atherton Powys, 3rd Baron Lilford of Lilford and Hon. Mary Elizabeth Fox.1,2 He married Lady Mary Acheson, daughter of Archibald Acheson, 3rd Earl of Gosford and Lady Theodosia Brabazon, on 27 February 1862.1 He died on 18 July 1893 at age 55.2
     He was given the name of Leopold William Henry Powys at birth.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.2 In 1890 his name was legally changed to Leopold William Henry Fox-Powys by Royal Licence.2 He lived at Bewsey Hall, Warrington, Lancashire, England.2
