In 1930 she had a huntring accident which left her permanently disabled, and in a wheel chair.2 She held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bristol Central between 1943 and 1945.3 She was a director of Western Airways Ltd.3 She was Governor of the Royal Automobile Club in 1945.3 She was Master of the Fox Hounds VWH (Bathurst) between 1946 and 1955.3 She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1952.3

Henry Allen John Bathurst, 8th Earl Bathurst of Bathurst was born on 1 May 1927.1 He was the son of Allen Algernon Bathurst, Lord Apsley and Viola Emily Mildred Meeking.1 He married, firstly, Judith Mary Nelson, daughter of Amos Christopher Nelson and Mary Spencer, on 20 March 1959.1 He and Judith Mary Nelson were divorced in 1976.1 He married, secondly, Gloria Wesley Clarry, daughter of Harold Edward Clarry, on 17 January 1978.1 He died on 16 October 2011 at age 84.3
