     Hon. Janet Elizabeth Astor was born on 1 December 1961.¹ She is the daughter of William Waldorf Astor, 3rd Viscount Astor and Janet Bronwen Alun Pugh.¹ She married Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 11th Duke of Richmond, son of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 10th Duke of Richmond and Susan Monica Grenville-Grey, in 1991.¹

Sarah Kathleen Elinor Norton was born on 20 January 1920.² She was the daughter of Richard Henry Brinsley Norton, 6th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield and Jean Mary Kinloch.^1,2 She married, firstly, William Waldorf Astor, 3rd Viscount Astor, son of Waldorf Astor, 2nd Viscount Astor and Nancy Witcher Langhorne, on 14 June 1945.¹ She and William Waldorf Astor, 3rd Viscount Astor were divorced in 1953.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Thomas Michael Baring, son of Major Edward Thomas Baring and Virginia Ryan, on 17 April 1953.³ She and Lt.-Col. Thomas Michael Baring were divorced in 1965.³ She died on 4 February 2013 at age 93.⁴
     From 14 June 1945, her married name became Astor. After her marriage, Hon. Sarah Kathleen Elinor Norton was styled as Viscountess of Astor on 30 September 1952. From 17 April 1953, her married name became Baring.⁵ She and Lt.-Col. Thomas Michael Baring were adopted.⁵ She lived in 2003 at 42 Melton Court, Old Brompton Road, London, England^G.²

     Richard Henry Brinsley Norton, 6th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield was born on 2 April 1892.² He was the son of John Richard Brinsley Norton, 5th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield and Katharine Buckner McVickar.² He married Jean Mary Kinloch, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir David Alexander Kinloch of Gilmerton, 11th Bt. and Elinor Lucy Bromley Davenport, on 3 April 1919.² He died on 17 July 1954 at age 62.²
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.² He was Staff Captain, War Office in 1915.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards SR.² He succeeded as the 6th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield, co. York [G.B., 1782] on 5 August 1943.¹

     Lt.-Col. Thomas Michael Baring was born on 24 October 1927.² He was the son of Major Edward Thomas Baring and Virginia Ryan.² He married, firstly, Hon. Sarah Kathleen Elinor Norton, daughter of Richard Henry Brinsley Norton, 6th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield and Jean Mary Kinloch, on 17 April 1953.¹ He and Hon. Sarah Kathleen Elinor Norton were divorced in 1965.¹ He married, secondly, Gillian Ann Rosemary Woolley, daughter of Arthur Rupert Woolley, on 11 June 1966.³ He died on 11 December 2009 at age 82.⁴
     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1961.² He and Hon. Sarah Kathleen Elinor Norton were adopted.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Derbyshire Yeomanry.¹ He lived in 2003 at Westhay House, Axminster, Devon, England^G.²

     Major Edward Thomas Baring was born on 6 September 1903.¹ He was the son of Thomas Baring and Constance Barron.¹ He married, firstly, Virginia Ryan, daughter of John Barry Ryan, on 16 October 1926.¹ He and Virginia Ryan were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Pauline Alison Copland, daughter of Frank Fawcett Copland, in 1950.² He died on 5 January 1980 at age 76 at Hastings, Sussex, England.^2,3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Derbyshire Yeomanry.¹ He fought in the Second World War, when he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He lived at Heronry House, Beckley, Sussex, England^G.

     Lady Louisa Gordon-Lennox was born in 1967.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 10th Duke of Richmond and Susan Monica Grenville-Grey.¹ She married Ben Collings, son of Roger Collings, on 1 November 1997.¹
     From 1 November 1997, her married name became Collings.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Olde Rectory, Tresteigne, Powys, Wales^G.¹
