     Major Charles St. John Colthurst was born on 20 April 1904.^1,2 He was the son of Charles James Colthurst and Emma Susan Uebelher.³ He married, firstly, Joan Cécile Drummond, daughter of Lieutenant David Robert Drummond and Hilda Margaret Harris, on 14 January 1942.¹ He and Joan Cécile Drummond were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Freda Mary Gomm, daughter of Arthur Francis Gomm, on 7 January 1971.¹ He died in February 1985 at age 80 at St. Austell, Cornwall, England.²
