     He was educated at Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2 He emigrated to Ireland arriving on 1614.2 He held the office of Prebendary of Connor before 1627.2 He held the office of Dean of Down in 1627.2 He held the office of Bishop of Down and Connor in 1635.2 He held the office of Bishop of Meath in 1660.3,2 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)3

     Sir Pyers Mostyn, 6th Bt. was born on 23 December 1749.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Mostyn, 5th Bt. and Barbara Browne.2 He married Barbara Slaughter, daughter of Thomas Slaughter and Barbara Parry, on 20 October 1780.1 He died on 29 October 1823 at age 73.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Mostyn, of Talacre, co. Flint [E., 1670] in March 1775.1
