     Rt. Rev. Hon. William Joseph Hugh Clifford was born on 24 December 1823.¹ He was the son of Hugh Charles Clifford, 7th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Mary Lucy Weld.² He died on 14 August 1893 at age 69.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Bishop of Clifton, Roman Catholic.¹

     Lieutenant Hugh Gilbert Francis Clifford was born on 20 January 1897.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Charles Clifford and Minna à Beckett.² He died on 1 July 1916 at age 19, killed in action.¹

     Her married name became Holmes.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Noel Galway Holmes is the son of Captain Harry W. Holmes.² He married Mary Agnes Philippa Clifford, daughter of Sir Hugh Charles Clifford and Minna à Beckett, on 19 June 1920.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Irish and East Yorkshire Regiments.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Captain Harry W. Holmes lived at Rockwood, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹

     He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1942 and 1946, with the Royal Artillery.¹ He held the office of Political Administrator of the Gold Coast between 1947 and 1951.¹ He held the office of Member of the Sheffield City Council between 1959 and 1961.¹ He was Head of Executive Selection for Peat Marwick Mitchell.¹

     Gloria Joan Mary West was born on 16 December 1925. She was the daughter of Sir Harold Ernest Georges West and Winifred Mary Eagleton.² She married Hugh Clifford Holmes, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Noel Galway Holmes and Mary Agnes Philippa Clifford, on 27 June 1953.¹ She died on 31 January 2015 at age 89.³
     Her married name became Holmes.

     Sir Harold Ernest Georges West was born on 7 June 1894. He is the son of George Howard West and Sarah Ann Webb. He married Winifred Mary Eagleton, daughter of Thomas Eagleton, on 17 December 1924.
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Muswell Lodge, Brincliffe Crescent, Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹ He lived at Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.

     Winifred Mary Eagleton is the daughter of Thomas Eagleton. She married Sir Harold Ernest Georges West, son of George Howard West and Sarah Ann Webb, on 17 December 1924.
