     Roger Hierom Gerard Ogilvy Spence was born on 4 May 1904.¹ He was the son of Colonel Alexander Hierom Ogilvy Spence and Hon. Christina Philippa Agnes North.¹ He died on 7 September 1960 at age 56, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1927 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1950.¹

     Christa Mary Margaret Ogilvy Spence was born on 26 March 1907.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Alexander Hierom Ogilvy Spence and Hon. Christina Philippa Agnes North.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Noel Stanley Alington on 9 June 1928.¹
     From 9 June 1928, her married name became Alington.¹

     Lt.-Col. Noel Stanley Alington married Christa Mary Margaret Ogilvy Spence, daughter of Colonel Alexander Hierom Ogilvy Spence and Hon. Christina Philippa Agnes North, on 9 June 1928.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Central India Horse.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     James Giles Roger Alington was born on 18 March 1929.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Noel Stanley Alington and Christa Mary Margaret Ogilvy Spence.¹
