     Thomas Yates Benyon was born posthumously on 1 December 1893.2 He was the son of Captain Thomas Yate Benyon and Hon. Christina Philippa Agnes North.2 He married, firstly, Luise Wicht, daughter of J. J. Wicht, on 26 November 1918.2 He and Luise Wicht were divorced in 1929.2 He married, secondly, Joan Ida Bishop Walters, daughter of Joan Bayley Walters, on 2 November 1934.2
     He was educated at Oratory School, Woodcote, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England.2 He lived Lieutenant.2
