     Sir Edward Moore, 1st Bt. was born on 22 November 1851.¹ He was the son of Edward Moore.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Ann Mead, daughter of Horatio Brown Mead, on 29 January 1876.¹ He married, secondly, Florence Mary Georgianna Harveson, daughter of James Harveson, on 5 October 1893.¹ He died on 7 December 1923 at age 72.¹
     He held the office of Alderman of Bishopsgate Ward, City of London in 1912.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of London from 1914 to 1915.¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1922 and 1923.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Moore, of Colchester, co. Essex [U.K.] on 25 October 1923.¹

     Cecily Kathleen Mary Moore is the daughter of Edward Cecil Horatio Moore and Kathleen Mary Oliver.¹ She married E. Alan Mortleman in April 1943.¹
     From April 1943, her married name became Mortleman.¹
