     He was educated at Felsted School, Felsted, Essex, England.1 He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Mappin, of Thornbury, co., York [U.K., 1886] on 12 December 1942.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.3
